This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Sphere mobile application for iOS (“App”) and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
We use Your Personal Data to provide and improve the App. By using the App, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Sphere iOS App. It does not replace the privacy policy for the Mnemosphere web product at mnemosphere.ai/privacy-policy. If You use both products, please review the applicable policy for each.
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- Account means a unique account created for You to access the App or parts of the App.
- Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with a party, where “control” means ownership of 50% or more of the shares, equity interest or other securities entitled to vote for election of directors or other managing authority.
- App means the Sphere software application for iOS made available through the Apple App Store.
- Apple means Apple Inc.
- Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Mnemosphere Pte Ltd, 14-04, 160 Robertson Road, Singapore 068914.
- Country refers to: Singapore
- Device means an iPhone or other Apple mobile device on which the App is installed and used.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Service refers to the App and the AI chat, subscription, and related features made available through the App.
- Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company. It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on behalf of the Company, to perform services related to the Service, or to assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
- Third-Party Sign-In Service refers to a third-party authentication service such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In through which a User can log in or create an account to use the Service.
- Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, app version, screen interactions, and diagnostic data).
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address
- First name and last name, when provided by You or a Third-Party Sign-In Service
- Account identifiers associated with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In
- Conversation and chat content, including prompts, AI responses, and files or attachments You upload or attach to conversations, which We process and store as necessary to provide the Service
- Voice input You choose to provide through the App's speech features
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.
Usage Data may include information such as Your Device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, unique device identifiers, IP address, network information, crash or diagnostic data, feature usage, screen views, and interaction events within the App.
We use product analytics tools to understand how the App is used, diagnose technical issues, and improve performance and user experience. See the “Analytics and Product Measurement” section below for more information.
Subscription and Purchase Information
When You subscribe to Sphere Pro or make other in-app purchases, payment and billing are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store Your full payment card information.
We and Our Service Providers, including RevenueCat, may receive subscription-related information such as product identifiers, purchase dates, renewal status, entitlement status, and transaction identifiers in order to provide paid features and manage Your subscription.
Information from Third-Party Sign-In Services
The Company allows You to create an account and log in to use the Service through Third-Party Sign-In Services such as Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In.
If You decide to register through or otherwise grant Us access to a Third-Party Sign-In Service, We may collect Personal Data that is already associated with Your third-party account, such as Your name, email address, and account identifiers. The information We receive depends on Your settings with the third-party provider and the permissions You grant.
Authentication is handled through Supabase, Our authentication Service Provider. We use this information to create and manage Your Account and secure access to the Service.
Device Permissions and On-Device Data
Depending on the features You use, the App may request access to:
- Camera and Photo Library to take or attach photos and images to conversations
- Files to attach documents to conversations
- Microphone and Speech Recognition to capture and transcribe voice input
- Face ID or other biometric authentication to help You sign in securely on Your Device
Biometric authentication data is processed on Your Device by Apple's operating system. We do not receive or store Your biometric data.
The App may also store authentication tokens and preferences locally on Your Device using secure storage mechanisms provided by the operating system.
Analytics and Product Measurement
We use PostHog, a product analytics Service Provider, to understand how users interact with the App, measure feature usage, and improve the Service. PostHog may collect Usage Data such as screen views, app events, Device type, operating system version, app version, and a pseudonymous analytics identifier linked to Your Account when You are signed in.
We use PostHog for product analytics and service improvement. We do not use PostHog to sell Your Personal Data or to deliver third-party advertising in the App. For more information, please visit PostHog's Privacy Policy.
The native App does not use browser cookies. If You open linked web pages inside or outside the App, those sites may use their own cookies or tracking technologies under their own policies.
AI Processing
To provide AI chat features, We transmit Your prompts, conversation content, and relevant attachments to Our backend and to third-party AI model providers as necessary to generate responses. These providers process content on Our behalf to deliver the Service.
You should not submit sensitive personal information in chats unless You are comfortable with it being processed for this purpose.
Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service, including AI chat and subscription features
- To manage Your Account and Your registration as a user of the Service
- To authenticate You and secure access to the Service
- To process subscriptions, entitlements, and in-app purchase status
- To monitor usage, diagnose technical issues, and improve App performance and user experience
- To contact You by email or in-app communications regarding updates, security notices, or support related to the Service
- To manage Your requests to Us
- For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets
- For other purposes such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, and evaluating and improving the Service
We may share Your personal information in the following situations:
- With Service Providers: We may share Your personal information with Service Providers such as Supabase, RevenueCat, PostHog, cloud infrastructure providers, and AI model providers to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service
- With Apple: When You make in-app purchases, Apple processes payment and related transaction information in accordance with Apple's privacy policies
- For business transfers: We may share or transfer Your personal information in connection with any merger, sale of Company assets, financing, or acquisition
- With Affiliates: We may share Your information with Our affiliates
- With Your consent: We may disclose Your personal information for any other purpose with Your consent
We do not sell Your Personal Data as defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Retention of Your Personal Data
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
If You delete Your Account through the App, We will take steps to delete or anonymize Your Personal Data, subject to legal retention requirements and backup cycles.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. This information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of Your jurisdiction.
The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.
You may delete Your Account through the account settings available in the App. You may also contact Us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that You have provided to Us.
Deleting Your Account does not automatically cancel an active App Store Subscription. You must manage subscriptions separately through Your Apple ID account settings or the subscription management options in the App.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Law Enforcement
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Other Legal Requirements
The Company may disclose Your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation; protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing; protect the personal safety of Users or the public; or protect against legal liability.
Security of Your Personal Data
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Your California Privacy Rights
If You are a California resident, You have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). These rights include:
- The right to request access to Your personal information
- The right to request deletion of Your personal information
- The right to opt-out of the sale of Your personal information (if applicable)
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising Your privacy rights

EU Data Subject Rights
If You are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), You have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These rights include: the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us.
Use of the App is intended for users 18 years of age or older, as stated in Our Terms and Conditions.
Links to Other Services
The Service may contain links to other websites or services that are not operated by Us, including the Mnemosphere website, Apple subscription management pages, and third-party AI or infrastructure providers. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
